i don’t mind general office noises - they make a nice background - but i HATE the fact that from 4 cubes away i can hear my ON’s annoying voice and hear her high-pitched laughter. ugh.annoying thing about sitting in a cubicle #1090707098761: hearing my coworkers CHEW. (or slurp or smack.) makes me wish snack and lunch times, away from the desk, were mandatory.
YES. THE EATING. I eat at my desk too, so could be considered guilty as well, but I only eat for however long it takes me to guzzle a sandwich and then only during actual ‘lunch break’. So maybe 5-10 minutes a day. My coworker snacks all day. There is soup, tea, crisps, a lot of toast crunching. One morning I came in at 9:30am and she was munching on corn on the cob.
